March Madness
I have never filled out an NCAA bracket.
(Of the hundreds of thousands of words I’ve ever typed, that feels the most like “True Confessions”)
I haven’t watched college basketball since Larry Bird led Indiana State to a nearly undefeated season. Until the championship. He crushed my little nine-year-old heart.
I might be the only Hoosier that doesn’t really care about basketball.
So when March Madness comes around, I just watch people. Amusedly. Some people are truly mad for this season. No work gets done. People take days off. Me? I would not even know where to begin when trying to whittle down 64 teams to one.
I’d make Florida State win every game because I went there.
I’d make Florida lose because I went to Florida State.
If I was ever kidnapped and required to complete a bracket in order to win my freedom, I’d choose the winners based on which state has the most interesting roadkill.
By the way, the last seven champions have worn blue.

Uh…I think you found someone that knows and/or cares less about basketball.
If I HAD to vote, I’d say “New York Rangers”.
Lame, I know!
If I was kidnapped, and was faced with filling out brackets for my freedom, you’d see my face on milk cartons for decades!
There’s no shame in not enjoying college basketball. Or football. It’s all good. No shame there at ALL. I think it would be pretty boring if EVERYONE liked the exact same things. That would mean EVEN MORE Harry Potter, Star Trek and Star Wars movies. Haha
