Christine Royse Niles — Changing the world one word at a time

Until the Cows Come Home

I recently used the phrase “until the cows come home,” and I got to thinking, which is always dangerous…

  • Do they actually come home on their own?
  • When do they come home?
  • What prompts them to come home?
  • What are they doing out so late?
  • Are they hangin’ at the Justin Bieber show?
  • Eatin’ some grass together?

Of course, all these questions can apply to teenagers as well.  Except maying the eating grass.  I hope.

What’s the funniest phrase you’ve used in the past week?  Leave it in the comments and let’s laugh a little!!

  3. Just came over from the Killer Tribes discussion about post length.

    Enjoyed the funny post.

Welcome, Joe! Listen to yourself for the next week…I’m SURE you’ll come out with something unexpected that will make someone smile.

  5. You don’t really want to know. But I guess I’ll tell you anyway.

This week I actually exclaimed, “I’m tireder than POOP!”

Do not even ask me why I would have such a random thought but I did. Not that I can really specify how tired poop is but it just seemed an appropriate thing to say at the moment.

    I’m done now.

You know, Becky…I think poop probably is pretty tired. Look at how it just lies around until someone else picks it up… I sure feel like that some days!

    Completely appropriate thing to say!
